Available Dates

We are happy to announce that Summer Intern Housing will be returning for 2022, and will be available from May 21, 2022 through July 31, 2022. Should you need some flexibility on either the start date, or end date - please do not be discouraged! Reach out to us and we can see what we can do to make it work. 

Room Types

Intern housing is available in our brand new Lakeside Village, and interns will have the ability to cook their own meals as all apartments have a full-size kitchen. Summer interns that do not wish to cook will have a wide variety of on-campus dining options including the Food Court and other retail dining locations as well as our resident dining halls. Please note that the summer hours of these establishments are subject to change throughout the summer.

Interns are able to select from the following room options (subject to availability):

  • Efficiency/studio layout: one bed, kitchen area, bathroom
  • One single bedroom, one bathroom, kitchen, living room
  • Two single bedrooms, one bathroom, kitchen, living room
  • Three single bedrooms, one bathroom, kitchen, living room
  • Four single bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, living room

*all interns receive a gym pass, and a parking permit (if bringing a vehicle) as part of their package in addition to the fully furnished apartment, WiFi, and full extra long bed. 


Bathroom Each residential space has access to at least one bathroom. See the layouts below for details about bathroom set up.
Laundry Apartments are equipped with in-unit washers and dryers. Students living in suites have access to multiple shared laundry facilities on every floor. All laundry is free for residents.
Study Areas There are a variety of individual and group study spaces throughout the residential floors in Lakeside Village in addition to the Study Lounge located on the ground floor.
Recreation Rooms With a variety of recreational activities including billiards, ping pong tables, and foosball, the recreation rooms provide convenient leisure opportunities for downtime.
Meditation Room The meditation room provides a quiet space to relax and reflect.
Outdoor Terraces Located on the second floor, the outdoor terraces provide residents the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors in a unique way and showcase the beauty of Lakeside Village.
Kitchen Apartments in Lakeside Village have full kitchens, and suites have kitchenettes. For details about specific kitchen amenities see the layouts below.
WiFi Campus WiFi access is available throughout the entire building
Secure Entry Residents must swipe their 'Cane Cards to have access to residential spaces
Vending Machines Vending machines are located periodically throughout the building

Payment Information

A deposit is due with your application submission. This amount is collected when submitting your application. The remainder of your payment will be due no less than five (5) business days of your scheduled check-in time. We accept all major credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express) or company checks.

Sales Tax

Since we only accept full-time students, sales tax is not collected under FL Administrative Code 12-1.070(10) Sales and Use Tax when applying as an individual, groups may be required to pay sales tax depending on the company/groups tax status. A copy of your transcript serves as proof of your enrollment and we reserve the right to cancel or remove your application should you not be currently enrolled at an institution of higher education. Recent graduates must be enrolled at an institution for the fall semester and proof of such must be provided.


The University of Miami will refund following this schedule: you may cancel your contract up to 30 days before your scheduled arrival at no penalty, if you cancel within 14-30 days of your arrival, we will refund your deposit (first payment only), if you cancel within 14 days of your arrival or check-in to your space, no refund will be given. In order to cancel your contract, you must notify, in writing, the Office of Conference Services of your request to cancel (via phone or in writing to any other person will not constitute cancellation) either by certified mail or email. Once you arrive no refunds will be provided, even if you shorten your stay. Extending your stay will result in additional costs.
